About

My name is Austin Humes

I am a football enthusiast who has contributed vast amounts of personal time into playing and studying the sport. I have been a qualified football referee for the past 2 years and by completing the MK College football course, I have gained the necessary knowledge to be more than capable of challenging and questioning players that I am coaching. Furthermore, I have completed the "introduction to coaching" football course with the ambition to complete as many as possible to broaden my knowledge and understanding in coaching. By coaching at football fun factory for a year and a half I've gained numerous experiences that allows me to comfortably lead sessions of any type with ease.

EVERYONE who is in Austin's football academy will have their safeguarding certificates as well as first aid qualifications.

Taking Players To The Elite Level

Discover the passion and dedication that drive Austin's Football Academy to mould aspiring players into top-tier athletes. Our focus is on individual growth and team success through consistent training and mentorship. Whether you want one-to-one coaching, team coaching or development plans we are the place for you.

Our Culture

At Austin's Football Academy we believe that certain traits are essential for a coach to perform to an ideal standard. One of those traits being; determination and an obsession with the game. We believe this, as football at its heart is a simple game of fine tactical and technical components, which with correct mentoring can be tweaked and trained to a elite standard.

What We Expect

As described above, just as there are numerous qualities and details that constitute an excellent coach, there are also essential attributes that define a good player. I would like to highlight what I consider the non-negotiables traits that every player should possess regardless of their ability. These include...

Coachable

Being coachable entails a willingness to accept constructive criticism and understanding that feedback from coaches is intended for their improvement and development, not to undermine them. Players should enter and remain in sessions with a keen eagerness to learn, which includes listening attentively and refraining from interrupting the coach.

Respectful

Respect is paramount for both coaches and players. Disrespect towards anyone will not be tolerated, as we are all here to improve and recognize that no one is perfect.

Any negative incidences will be dealt with swiftly and appropriately.

Engaged

Players should demonstrate enthusiasm, as this element is  fundamental to them having an enjoyable experience. We are committed to making our drills engaging and exciting for children through actively incorporating rewards as an integral part of the process. Therefore, we encourage your child to have a drive to compete in the sessions we provide.
